meet the boys
Steve Green - Guitar and Vocals. .jpg)
Steve has been playing guitar for.......oh let me see........weeks and is getting quite good. He also 'sings'. Steve's musical influences are varied. When awake, this multi-talented axemeister never ceases to impress the rest of the band with his nifty riffs and his songwriting abilities.
Andy Partridge - Bass and Vocals.
Andy has played guitar for many years but took to the bass 14 years ago. He has played in various rock and blues bands in and around Northants and Bucks and has played at many venues including the Blues Bar in London. And for those of you who might he thinking it, he is not the Andy Partridge of XTC, nor is he Adam Claytons Dad......snigger
Andy's favoured instrument is the Fender 'Hotrod' Precision played through the Hartke amplifier and cabinets. No effects, they are not needed. The full smooth 'low end' that is produced by this gear provides the necessary foundation to deliver the bands music and sound.
Musical influences and interests range anything from Jeff Beck through Joe Walsh to Todd Rundgren and more recently The Gaslight Anthem. Although there are many more, and even more diverse all have one thing in common; delivering powerful music with feeling, reflecting the aim of GRAPHIC.
Stuart Hartley - Drums & Percussion
Stuart started playing at the tender age of 16 and whilst musical interest at the time were Aerosmith, Floyd, Yes, Blue Oyster Cult & Rush he was strongly influenced by his then drum teacher who introduced him to the world of Return to Forever and Al Dimeola. Stuart says two of their albums changed his life, Romantic Warrior (featuring Lenny White on drums) and Land of the Midnight Sun (featuring Steve Gadd). By the time Stuart was 20 the influences on his drumming came from the likes of Peter Erskine, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd and Dennis Chambers
Stuart has drummed with many illustrious bands over the years with the list too long to mention here (probably some not to be mentioned either). The musical style has ranged from Rock originals, through Funk to Latin Jazz Fusion and Punk, Pop and Rock covers; with a resume like that who wouldn't want him drumming with you. There was something about him once playing in a bingo club but can't get my head around that ……!!!!
